The rooks and magpies arrived while I was photographing and filled the trees with their approval.
Above my head, 6 or 7 hopped from branch to branch as I filmed..
this rarity holds even more magic than usual..
Now… as I write … a tawny owl is calling me from the woods… a rare sound this early in the day.
